Kremlin expects Russian economic decline to slow down in 2021
MOSCOW, Dec 8 (PRIME) -- Contraction of the Russian economy should slow down significantly in 2021 as compared with 2020, President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.
“The current level of debt and our reserves are one of the factors that ensure our macroeconomic stability. … Unfortunately, it is obvious that we wouldn’t be able to break free from the impact of the global crisis, but in general, we have expectations that next year the fall will not be as deep as it was this year,” he said.
“Though we’ve also managed to minimize the fall this year, and in general, we weathered it with a smaller negative impact than many other countries.”
